Value Delivered

Jason ensures that Kilgust provides high-performance systems and responsive customer care consistently to clients. He is responsible for design/build sales, plan-and-spec bidding, large construction profit and loss, purchasing, scheduling, and field coordination. Jason leads the CAD engineering project management and business development teams. When a project has been completed, he manages the commissioning technicians who ensure that all systems have been installed and adjusted properly for optimum operation, long-term service, and maximum return on investment.

Expertise

Jason joined Kilgust as a project manager 13 years ago. From there, he rose through the ranks as estimator, senior project manager, and eventually, vice president of engineering and part owner.

Jason's specialties are estimating and scheduling. By getting involved in a project early, he can do detailed scope estimating and help owners perform the “what-if” calculations necessary to weigh the immediate costs of various options against the long-term payback. As a result, client's can effectively choose systems that meet both their facilities and budget requirements. He is also adept at using today's most advanced scheduling technology to help clients capture all necessary data. This allows him to design projects that proceed in an orderly fashion with predictable events. It's an approach that has made him especially successful in commercial, educational, and other settings where projects must be performed with minimal or no disruption to normal activities. In addition, he is knowledgeable about the technical and other system requirements of clean rooms for the healthcare and biotech industries.

Jason is licensed by the State of Wisconsin as a professional engineer. He is also LEED™ accredited . He's been certified by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGHSPA) to oversee geothermal system design and installation. In addition, he is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
