Safety and Quality
To help ensure consistently high levels of productivity and on-time project delivery, Kilgust maintains a comprehensive safety program. This award-winning program's purpose is to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses among employees and others by promoting safety through education, training and incentives. All employees participate in this program and are responsible for meeting its objectives.
Since its start in 1999, the program has helped the company reduce overall recordable injuries by 80 percent and the number of lost-time injuries by over 90 percent.
Our safety and health goal is ZERO accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
To focus our efforts on this objective, we maintain the following standards:
- Full compliance with all applicable safety laws, rules, and regulations as stated in the company safety policy
- Scheduled meetings to provide education and training on safety and health matters. As part of this standard, all key personnel must complete the OSHA 10-hr and 30-hr courses.
- Regular safety inspections to identify and eliminate unsafe working conditions and practices
- Prompt and thorough investigation of every accident to determine what caused it and what steps should be taken to prevent a recurrence.
